3 Steps to Conquering Bipolar

Have you heard of the up and down twisted ride called Bipolar Disorder?
ME: Sounds like any other roller coaster ride.
But once on this ride, you can not exit, and the tracks will shift and change randomly – you will never know what’s going to happen next!
ME: That exciting! Where is the line?

I’m pretty sure that is how I got this trial in my pre-mortal life and like the rest of the fools that got on have learned that Bipolar Disorder was not the ride they claimed it to be, but I have decided to conquer it!

This will be lifelong conquest. I understand that. Since I can not stop the ride, then I’m going to shout and enjoy the trip! Might as well yell out what I’ve experienced with others, maybe their horrified screams can change too.

  1. Relax – Face it, you don’t have control. If you are depressed, don’t fight it. Be down so you can come back up. Unless you are thinking about leaping from the ride, then I suggest you call for maintenance.
  2. Don’t – When manic highs hit, don’t dread the upcoming fall. Use the momentum to get things done. Don’t make big purchases or start big projects during this time. Chocolate runs are appropriate but don’t get any big ideas that you can create a life-size replica of yourself.
  3. Do It – Find something to do for others daily. Be it helping at a shelter, paying a compliment to a stranger, or bake meals for the sick. Take pride in your self-worth, not even the lows can take that away from you. It will try to bury it in your stomach, but it is still there.

So Relax – Don’t Do it! Bwahahaha! Now try to get that song out of your head.
